Major Areas of Responsibility
• Full connection requirements of product design and tool design, evaluation of optimizing the mold manufacturability.
• Fully strengthen the execution of the mold flow analysis to achieve the optimum design for the mold, meet the function and appearance requirements, to achieve the optimization of product structure, mass production feasibility, injection molding production capacity.
• Reduce the development time in the process of new product design and mold development, test pre-trial costs.
• Mold test issues and solution tracking, product dims out-of-tolerance disposition, design change follow-up.
• Molding process conditions to evaluate and optimize and standardize.
• Mold engineering documentations and data information's summary and maintenance.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of plastic materials and design for manufacturing in terms of geometry and cosmetic quality.
• Experience in developing plastic processing parameters.
• Strong ability for decision making based on analytical investigation as well as technical risk evaluation.
• Capable to lead tooling related technical discussions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor in Mechanical and Automation major is preferred
• Position requires 5+ years in the mold making and molding industry.
• Extensive experience in tooling design and manufacturing required.
Physical Demands
• Ability to work several hours at a computer
• Ability to travel (domestic and international) as needed
Working Environment
• Standard office environment
• Extended periods in manufacturing environment.
