Major Areas of Responsibility
• System engineering- Manage all phases of the design process for a multitude of products, components, parts, assemblies and subassemblies, including drafting, dimensioning, tolerance, stack up, prototyping and documenting results. Create and utilize quality tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPRs, DFM/A, QFD, FAT, DMAIC, PDCA ….. Maintain and update product engineering documents, such as BOM, product drawings and DFMEA.
• Support current products in terms of quality, manufacturing, supply continuity and cost improvement. Cooperate product design with Global engineering team.
• Participate in executing technical and/or cross-functional project work.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation by proactively generating novel concepts for new products and enhancements to current product performance.
• SOR analysis-Review customer requirements including customer specifications, statements of work, and interface drawings in order to ensure compliance with contract.Translate customer needs into engineering requirements into specific product, packaging and process specifications. Gather requirements from customer and communicate with Development Team to figure out the technical feasibility for the certain project. Work with global team to find out the suitable technical solution to meet customer specific requirements.
• Concept creation-Define and manage the technical deviation, define the validation plan, track the validation test status. Define technical customer interface for the project. Collaborate with application engineer to define the application boundary condition and perform kinematic calculation for electric actuator application.
• Prototype design-Define the kinematic adjustment/set parameter on turbocharger for prototype. Define / request / check / support the releasing process of the electric actuator drawings. Lead electric component related tests defined in turbocharger DVP. Lead the problem shooting regarding electric actuator.
