DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a team of product developers to establish a range of customized products based on corporate’ requirements; Follows up the whole product development process from initial product design to final prototypes and requirements to and ensure the product quality meets the standards; Researches and keeps updated on the latest global and local market trends
- Manage the development process, from prototyping phase until salesman sample (with involvement in industrialization phase), coordinating the information flow between all interfaces (creative department, development centre, GZ Sourcing Office, Operations Procurement, Vendors)
- Ensure a pro-active, precise, relevant, pertinent and consistent communication flow to allow the timely realization of industrialized products, in line with company targets in terms of price, quality, workmanship, functionality, durability, etc
POSITION/PERSON QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 15 years technical experience in leather accessories making industry, with at least 10 years in development related positions
- Excellent knowhow on 2D pattern
- Excellent knowledges of materials (tech-driven, sustainable materials included), constructions, machinery and workmanship
- Extensive experience with high-end leather accessories is requested
- 3D modeling and rendering experience on leather accessories is a plus.
- Ability to identify potential problems and to provide solution
- Good written/spoken English and Mandarin are a must. Cantonese is a plus.
- Skillful in computer operating
- Highly organized and effective
- Flexible and adaptable, to follow changes in a continuously evolving environment
- Team player, with open mind and willing to learn
- Willing to travel
