POSITION SUMMARY : The SQE manager will assist the QA manager to administer the company Supplier Quality Management function to continually improve the quality level of components, products and services to achieve total customer satisfaction. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED : -Establish and implement quality plans and procedures to achieve required level of component and product quality from suppliers, including Private and Brand Label vendors. -Manage the supplier quality engineering function -Support product development engineering on component qualification and supplier evaluations -Facilitate quality improvement and problem- solving programs with suppliers and vendors -Support new product development and engineering change activities related to components -quality indices such as CPMS, Line complaints on components and spare part -indices in manufacturing scorecard -local and regional operating income -delivery performance EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) Engineering background, preferably with a degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: -5 - 7 years of related experiences in a manufacturing environment; preferably with working experience in connector industry -experience in managing a supplier quality function with experience in TQM implementation -Sound knowledge of stamping, molding and plating processes will be an added advantage -Sound knowledge of SPC application is essential and experience in conducting quality and environmental audits -Highly motivated with good interpersonal skills and team orientated -Understanding of ISO9001, TL9000, ISO/TS16949 is preferred -Good knowledge of Stamping, Molding, plating and connector assembly processes -Knowledge of quality tools such as SPC, 7 QC tools, DOE etc. -6-Sigma black belt trained will be an added advantage -Able to work independently -Quick learner and forward looking
