SUMMARY: The Master Black Belt (MBB) provides Lean Six Sigma training, mentoring and coaching to Black Belts and Green Belts. This includes developing training and mentoring processes consistent with the company's strategy of long-term sustainable improvement and seminars on Six Sigma & Lean techniques and other improvement methodologies. The MBB is a key leader of the Asia Six Sigma steering committee that is responsible for driving business process improvements and cost reductions. Report to: Asia Quality Director location: Shenzhen RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop Belt training programs covering lean six sigma techniques and deliver training to candidates. Improve candidates’ problem solving/process improvement skills. Provide follow-up mentoring to candidates on critical Six-Sigma/CIP projects to ensure the projects are managed successfully and measurable results are achieved. Participate in the Six Sigma steering committee and support Six Sigma/CIP implementation to help targeted sites achieve their CIP goals. Provide strategic leadership and six sigma expertise to the Champions and Six Sigma Steering Committee (identifying business strengths and opportunities in the areas of business processes, financial models, application in design, etc…). Assist in establishing and setting specific business objectives centered on process improvement, selecting projects, characterizing projects and estimating financial impact of projects. This includes selection of strategic multi-functional projects to support business needs as assigned. Maintain and lead the LT Belt certification process. REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) & presentation skills. Well-developed leadership and project management capabilities with demonstrated success. Previous Financial Services experience or transactional related experience with strong business acumen required. Ability to lead and facilitate complex cross-functional projects. Proven ability to accomplish goals through collaborative effort. Demonstrated experience coaching and developing individuals in the application of skills. Strong working knowledge of Minitab software Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and QAD. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Masters degree preferred. Ten (10) plus years of professional work experience with extensive activity in cross-functional, cross-business processes. Three (3) plus years proven experience leading Six Sigma/Lean projects and significant exposure to providing training and mentoring in Six Sigma and Lean Techniques. Mastery of Higher level statistical tools and problem solving methods (e.g., DOE, ANOVA, Comparison Method, Hypothesis testing, etc…) Travel Requirements: 20-50%
