Responsibilities: •Monitor and manage the closing of POs issued pursuant to contract up to goods received by reports. •Be responsible for materials execution as well as ensure supply continuity by pushing supplier to expedite delivery to meet scheduling requirements. •Liaise with a team of Finance Executives/Company Officers to ensure continuity of materials supply base on MRP/Internal pricing requirements. •Develop and implement long term and short term regional procurement strategies with the main objective of driving cost reduction, while maintaining quality and services. •Build strategic alliance with key suppliers and manage supplier relationship for effective cost and purchasing strategies. •Liaise with suppliers to understand market conditions and potential impact on pricing, addressing service issues and ensuring that the best possible deal is achieved. •Locate, analyze and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future demands. •Source, evaluate, negotiate, and verify costing contract finalization for the Company's procurement needs. •Develop and implement global supply base strategies to ensure supply, reduce cost, mitigate risk & build strong supplier relationships. Requirements: •At least 7-10 y years of professional experience in commercial contracts, preferably within the furniture industry. •Preferably specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent. •Knowledge in Warehouse Management System (WMS) will be an added advantage. •Ability to communicate effectively with good negotiation and problem resolution skills. •Self-motivated, with the ability to direct energy and commitment into achieving excellent results. •Good team player who is mature, flexible, independent with a high level of self-confidence. •Ability to effectively lead, train and motivate a diverse group of employees. •Resourceful and able to perform under pressure with minimal supervision.
