RESPONSIBILITIES: •Provide feedback to appropriate departments on meeting customer requirements. •Communicate with sales for forecasting. •Effectively manage manufactured product inventory levels. •Oversee all production scheduling for all local facilities to ensure schedules are in line with orders and forecasts, production capacities and corporate objectives. •Communicate with production to insure the materials department has accurate production related information. •Research current technology to minimize costs and improve efficiencies in all Materials departments. •Research global sourcing for needed components, and request and negotiate price quotes and delivery time. •Develop supplies, conduct supplier audits, and strategize with QA as required to improve and ensure supplier quality. •Monitor departmental and company goals for which the Materials department has a responsibility. •Interface, develop material plan, and coordinate monthly planning meeting with Buyers to meet corporate objectives. •Check availability of component parts prior to issuing manufacturing orders using system inquiries and shortage reports. •Generate manufacturing orders for high volume OEM product by entering them into the computer, assembling the shop packets, and providing a print copy. •Update manufacturing orders as necessary by monitoring system inquiries and new engineering change orders. •Quote lead times to the CS and Sales Coordinators for requested delivery times on high volume batteries not in stock. •Generate rework manufacturing orders based on dispositional Reject Reports or RMAs. •Work with purchasing to ensure proper inventory levels. •Work with Custom people to control the tax free materials REQUIREMENTS: •Basic computer skills •Good organizational, analytical and communication skills •Fluent speaking, writing and reading English •Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail •Must have complete understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. •6-8 years previous sourcing, inventory, production control, and/or supervisory experience in FOE.
