BASIC PURPOSE Within the objectives assigned to the plant, the jobholder is in charge of implementing management quality control systems. This will include the following: a)achieve external and internal customer expectations, b)establish and implement suppliers’ quality test rules c)establish adequate quality systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9000 and other certifications, d)assure product quality through various tests; e)develop motivational programs to the staff f)build up QA /QC database LEADERSHIP & INFLUENCE The jobholder •manages and co-ordinates the sections under his responsibility •participates in defining the quality policy and is responsible for its implementation •co-ordinates and controls the implementation of the quality policy defined by the management •guarantees the quality conformity of products by implementing quality policies •guarantees the quality conformity for tubes and pipes (customer and international standards requirements) by implementing product and process audits and by following up defects at the customer. •ensures smooth new product / line start-up to meet quality and customer line reject goals. •is in charge of providing regular information (quality results, customer rejects, scraps and other analysis results) to relevant departments for implementation of corrective actions. •participates in empowering employees to take responsibilities of their work. •is in charge of the management of his department such as: - equipment maintenance and purchase request - training proposition - salary / bonus proposition - discipline and application of company regulations QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE a)Degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering b)More than 5 years of experience in quality field and in managerial position c)Fluent in English and Mandarin d)Good interpersonal skills e)Good knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO 9000 and 14000 etc f)Good knowledge of meturliography, stainless steel standards, mechanical testing, corrosion test, non test, welding processes g)Good knowledge in Quality Tools such as Statistical Process Control, 7 Basic QC Tools, PDCA, FMEA, 5S, and Problem Solving Techniques
