PRIMARY PURPOSE:
•Chief designer in the RF team on the design and development of antennas for worldwide customers.
• Main interference with customer antenna design engineers to communicate on the design requirement and provide consistent update and review.
• Lead cross-functional team in analyzing difficult RF issues and make necessary decision on antenna performance and pattern improvement.
•Research on antenna technology to provide technology edge over competitors.
•Strong innovative spirit to provide technology edge over industry
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILIES
•Analyze project RF requirements in close cooperation with the customers.
•Design antennas for mobile phones and other wireless devices using software simulation or prototype experimental techniques to win business.
• Develop RF product specifications and define optimum technology for the antenna assembly.
• Work with a project design team to develop new antenna products and bring it to mass production with good yield.
•Set-up reliable and stable RF testing, assist manufacturing department to implement them on production lines.
• Design, run, analysis and implement DOE with good cost sense.
• Reviews design and analysis done by the junior engineers and provide recommendations.
• Develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplines and other functions, such as technical, manufacturing, and marketing to support client needs.
•Participate proactively in general RF procedure improvement and RF team process
• Research latest antenna concepts in trade and professional journals to determine state-of-the-art antenna technology
•Presentation of RF technology to the customer
•Coaching of junior RF Design Engineers for Design and Manufacturing.
EDUCATION:
Master or Bachelor degree of Communication Engineering
WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE:
•At least 5 years experiences of RF Antenna Engineering design.
•Experience in leading small team to accomplish given RF tasks.
•Experience in communicating with customer over design requirement and status.
•Involved in research activities.
•Project Portfolio Management
OTHER TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION/SPECIFIC COMPETENCY:
•Strong Personality and able to make sound and calculated risk decision.
•Strong in Customer Interaction.
•Leadership capability with pro-active mindset.
•A self-driven and well-organized person with a high initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Has power of penetration because of a positive and straightforward behaviour, strong professional skills and team spirit.
•Analytical and open minded.
•Have maturity, drive and the commitment to fulfil the tasks.
•RF design tool – CST, HFSS
•English, written and spoken on negotiation level.
